How to emit from animated texture on an object?

Post by David Ridlen » Fri Mar 05, 2021 6:26 am

Is it possible to emit from an animated texture map on an object?

I can apply a single uv image to an object (Node Params>Display) and see it correctly mapped. But how do you display an image sequence on an object? When I generate wetmaps, I scrub frames and see the maps update. But I dont see a way to apply a different image sequence to an object.

And when I apply an image or image sequence in the Speed channel, nothing changes. Although I really want the emission mask texture to be separate from speed. I dont see where else to mask object emission with an image, or an explanation of anyone else making this work.

Simple example attached
