Nitrous to OpenGL legacy driver -> disables pointcloud

I was told to disable the The Nitrous 11.0 driver and use the OpenGL legacy driver to get RFRK to stop crashing 3DS Max.
The 3ds Max pointcloud modifier doesn't function without the Nitrous driver. We use this to display and render FARO LIDAR scans of the spaces we are simulating. Using Mesh objects is unachievable because of the size of the Data sets.

Do you have any advice?

thank you

Hi,

There is a bug in the actual RealFlow plugin working with Nitrous, but we are already working on fix it. Try to set the imported mesh or particles to bounding box.

Luckily, the PointCloud modifier will render the scan .rsc, but doesn't display in viewport with the legacy OpenGL driver.

Hey,

There are some bugs in the plugin and we are fixing them right now ;). If you find anything please, tell us so we can fix it too. Thanks for reporting.

Hi, are the new connectivity plugins anywhere near complete? Will they support Max 2018?

Hey,

We have new plugin and we are testing it. Also, it will have support for Max 2018 as well. It will be released very soon.

Brilliant thanks! It's the particles that are hard to work with in 3DS Max, unless you have Krakatoa which I don't. There doesn't seem to be a way of working with them without your plugin. Looking forward to the next release :D
