At the moment I don't have any other tips for you, I'm afraid. You actually tried all possible path variations, so the only thing we can do at the moment is to wait for what the developer will find out. Of course I'll keep you in the loop. Since you check this forum regularly I'm sure you won't miss anything ;)

A quick update: we've fixed an issue with objects from SD files and TR. The problem with the missing meshes hasn't been solved so far. On some computers it works, on others the render fails, but haven't been able to figure out why. We're still working on a solution. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi again and sorry for the long period of silence. We didn't forget you and finally I've been able to recreate all aspects of the failing TR process. Could you please send me the console output of a Team Render Client from a failed render? Does it say that it tries to render frame 0?

What if you start a TR, but disable all clients? Please use only the machine with the server or C4D's main application for the render.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that TR works fine for many users (e.g. our plugin developer), and that's probably one of the reasons why nobody came up with that issue so far.

This is exactly what I needed. Thanks for your support. I'll pass the console output to the developer, and I hope we can fix this issue soon. The problem is always that we must reproduce what you see, because otherwise it's almost impossible to find out where the bug is.

There's good news: we've updated the plugins and the RFRK. The first tests showed that the clients are now able to find the RF resources. Here's are the developer's annotations:

"Now if you render with Team Render the client first checks if the given file path exists, if not it tries to find the file in the texture search path (which is relative to the scene or the repository in Team Render). If the file still has not been found then the client will download it from the server.

So basically you just have to create and save your scene on the server and the clients will download all necessary files by default, you don't event have to share any folders on the network. Of course download large files can be a big overhead. In this case you can share your folders and specify the path with environment variables."

He also mentioned that environment variables are the best way to get rid of any TR issues.

We're in the final stage of testing, and I sure that a new version will be released soon.

I already answered this on another forum, all that is important is the absolute file path to the sequences.
Avoid copying any assets at all costs :lol:
