Problem using IDOC / Fill Object on my network Node

Hello
I'm having a problem using IDOC / Fill Object on my network Node
If I would do a simple bowl and use the Fill Object to fill it up then use Initial State have a sphere drop inside it and make a small splash ok. And Put an IDOC click update and send to job manager it will simulate on my network Node. And yes I perches a Node. When I want to see the result on my workstation I type ( alt + u ) and nothing no simulation done. I’ve seen it simulating fast on the network node really fast like it was simulating nothing.

Now if I try to do something different put a plane and use Circle Emitter, Drag and Gravity. And Put an IDOC click update and send to job manager it will simulate on my network Node. And when I type ( alt + u ) I see the simulation result done it work but it will not work with Fill Object why is this happening

Why can I use the Fill Object it work before.

Hi Normand,

can you open the "particles" folder and check if there are any fill object emitter files inside?

You could also export the scene as XML and upload it here so we can check if everything is ok.

Hello Alex

I open the particles folder and yes the Fill Object Particles are in that folder. When I click simulate it does it in a blink of an eye 200 frame done. That's not right It never did this before it's a little slower to simulate. Maybe it’s the new Realflow version. What's very strange is if I use a Circle Emitter it work fine with IDOC.

I uploaded the files to my ftp and made a xml file and scene file.

Hi Normand,

you are right, it doesn't fill the object emitter in command line mode. The only way it has worked for me is running:

realflownode.exe -reset scene.flw
Tomorrow at the office I'll try to figure out the problem.

Hi again Normand,

after some researching we have found that there seems to be some problem with Fill Volume emitter when you call scene.simulate() from scripting (just like Job Manager does).

There are two possible workarounds:
- The "scene.reset()" call inside the Job Manager rfs script is causing the problem this time. You can manually edit the script tom remove that line and relaunch the job.
- You can edit the job in Job Manager web interface. Replace the path "xxxx/jobfiles/yyy.rfs" with "xxxx/yyy.flw". Then enable the Reset checkbox at the bottom of the page.

I'll try what you’re telling me I'm not use to that why but I'll try. I was trying other emitters and the other one that does not work with IDOC is Fibers Emitter. Hope you fix this problem on the next update.

We'll keep an eye on the Fibers emitters too.
