Colour coding dynamics

Is there anything that you would like to see in future versions of RealFlow?

Colour coding dynamics

Post by Otuama » Fri Jun 21, 2013 4:10 pm

I know I've brought this up before but I think having colour coded rigid dynamics would be great in Rf.

For example: http://vimeo.com/57099380#t=3187

It'd be very good for display & debugging purposes.

For example, I have some objects which I thought had become completely still. I then simmed about 30 frames of particles in the scene and noticed that 4 objects were still moving.... Then 12 started to move due to the movement of the 4. I'm not sure if it'd be the case but if the colour coded feature was included, I may have seen the 4 objects still had some motion.

Did NL decide not to include it in the end because later on in the video (the truck part), Gus says he can't show it in action because it isn't in the alpha 'yet'.
