Hi - just a quickie for now I'd like an option to cache just simulations, with the ability to then cache mesher files without having to re-do the simulation. Ideally each mesher would include a 'cache mesh' option, so you cache the files directly from the mesher, it would make more sense to me at least.

Currently it's inefficient to have to re-do the whole sim because the mesher settings weren't quite right, or because there wasn't a mesher in the scene during setup.

Lastly, on the subject of cache files, I'd like a general RF preference for their default location (I've got a big external drive just for various cache files). Otherwise I'm setting it manually every time.

Thanks for your thoughts and the feedback.

The possibility of doing caches and meshes separately will definitely come, but unfortunately it's currently not clear when. Your idea to specify a global cache path in C4D's preferences is also very welcome and we'll add it to the improvements list.
