Another idea that came up working on my actual project. If you deactivate a node, this should automatically be hidden, too. In 99% of the cases, I do not want to see the objects anymore, I've previously deactivated.
This is especially problematic with meshes. I set them to Build > No, but if I don't explicitly hide the mesh afterwards it is still visible making it difficult to evaluate my current particle simulation.

Hi Florian,
I made three scripts long time ago which they have the same working than now, it means, activating, deactivating and caching nodes. In addition, I added the option to hide and unhide nodes when you are activating or deactivating. They are On_selected, Off_selected and Cache_selected.
