Any possibility of a Render Kit for Ligthwave? It would really help not having to suck up all my hard drive space with the mesh files.

Unfortunately, the Lightwave SDK makes it impossible to use many of the RFRK features. It's not that NL has dropped support for Lightwave users, it's simply a matter of restrictions and limitations on the LW side.

fortunately we found a way to create Renderkit for Lightwave, and we have a beta. Problem is we don't have any feedback yet, so if you could test and tell me if you find something.

That's great news about the Render Kit coming to Lightwave!

I just tried to install it and I get this error message. But, my computer is kind of messed up right now. I either got a virus, or that MS update last week that causes Blue Screening has my Windows 7 completely messed up. I've been trying to re-image my hard drive but the my install disk seems to be bad.

The point is the error I'm getting may not be due to the plugin itself, but my system.

Okay, I have a brand new hard drive and have installed a fresh copy of windows 7. As I stated in the general forum, I'm getting an invalid licence message when I try to put in my LE licence key.

As soon as that problem is fixed, I'll take another shot at the RFRK for Lightwave.

You'll need a rfrk license to work with the ligthwave plugin for renderkit. Maybe we can send you a temporary license to try the plugin next monday.

Thanks for the info. The licensing problem has been solved and everything else seems to be working. I look forward to trying out the Render Kin on Monday.
