Combine everything in Nuke

Post by euge06 » Fri Apr 25, 2014 8:21 pm

When using Hybrido is it possible to export all the different elements like particles, foam, mist etc to composite as different passes in Nuke? Or is it better to bring these elements into a 3D program and finish the 3D elements in there?

Realflow will only simulate the particles and allows you the creation of geometry (meshes) based on the simulated particles. Then, you need to import these elements (particles and/or meshes) into a 3D application, like 3ds Max, Cinema4D etc.

There, you render the elements. Of course, the renderings of the individual elements (Water, Spray, Foam etc.) are often split and then put together in the compositing in order to have more control over the final image. I hope this answers your questions.
