Hi Next Limit!
Since ±5 hours, RenderKit totally stopped working on my Mac, apparently because of a bug in nl_license_manager.
Full description of the problem :
1. Having previously installed my RFRK2013 license, I start nl_license_manager
2.Then I try to render a frame with the RFRK mesh plugin for C4D. Unfortunately I get this error message every time :
3. Meanwhile nl_license_manager displayed this error message...
4. ... curiously the activity monitor don't show up any other nl_license_manager process
I've followed these install instructions, I've tried to reinstall nl_license_manager, I've tried to reinstall the C4D plugin, I've tried to restart my Mac...
OS X 10.9, RFRK C4D v1.1.4, nl_license_manager 1.8.0.0019, single standard RFRK2013 license without expiration date.
Is there any way to simply copy my license in the plugin folder?

Hey,
Have you tried to type "sudo ....."? If it doesn't work yet, it is cause you have an application which is taking the necessary ports to run the license manager. Try to type this to know if there is something taking the port 2226. Also make sure you have opened the ports 2223, 2224, 2225 and 2226.
sudo lsof -iTCP:2226 -sTCP:LISTEN
let me know if it works.

Hi LuisMiguel! Thank for your support.
sudo nl_license_manager -s
same problem.
Okay, so here is the network investigation.
I'm not a network expert, but I think that all my ports are opens (OS X Firewall disabled, and anyway nl_license_manager run on the same computer as C4D)
Here is the results of the scan:
- Before using nl_license_manager -s:
- After using nl_license_manager -s:
- After trying to run the RFRK plugin:
Here is a curious thing: nl_license_manager always print me this error message:
Could it confuse 10.0.0.2 and 127.0.0.1, and think it's two different manager instances?
sudo nl_license_manager -s
same problem.

Re: nl_license_man. / There is already a License Manager run
I've tried to instal nl_license_manager on another Mac. Even if it's not very elegant, it works this way. Seems to confirm my supposition.Could it confuse 10.0.0.2 and 127.0.0.1, and think it's two different manager instances?
Alas, I've got another (unrelated) problem now: the plugin show me a « No valid RFRK license was found! » error time to time. Mostly when I use the Lazy Compute caching function for multiple frames. As if the plugin tried to use multiple RFRK licenses at the same time. Frame by frame there is no problem at all.

Hi,
I'm checking this one. I'll let you when I know more, but usually, the license is asked for each time that the system needs it. How many licenses do you have?. Have you checked if the render keeps going once the previous frame has finished?
