Emitter Interpolation

Post by lossesos » Wed Jul 21, 2010 1:13 pm

Any body can explain how to use interpolation?? How it works?

I have a precalculated .bin secuence of particles, then I turn on interpolation to local in the emitter and hit simulate but nothing happens.

Thank you.

Interpolation works when you change the resolution of your emitter. To do what you want you must use the "Change resolution" tool, so first select the interpolation mode you want and then click on this tool (this is the button with the big particles and arrow and small particles), RF will go through the simulation changing the resolution of your emitter.

Even though you can do this I don't recommend to use this technique to increase the number of particles in your simulation. This interpolation process is done per frame not keeping the interpolated particles generated in the previous frame, as a result you probably end up with flickering. Maybe is better to do different simulations with some variations in the conditions of the generation of the particles and use a BIN loader emitter to put all the simulations together for meshing.

OK,

Thanks a lot for quick response and info. I will use .BIN loader technique.
