rfrk2 and magnitudes

Post by wwfx » Fri Oct 28, 2011 3:28 pm

Hi there,

We have RelaFlow RenderKit v2.2.1.0026 and using the "rfrk_runprogram" precedural we successfully render a mesh with 3Delight.
However We can not figured out how to render magnitudes, maybe we need primitive variables to put them in some 3dl shader?
Please tell us what we need more to accomplish this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Peter,

The answer is correct. You should be accessing the magnitudes by using primvars.
Maybe it can be of some help to have a look at the slim palette we have with all of them connected.

I assume that you are looking at the latest avalaible manual (v1.001) of the RFRK for RenderMan. Page 56 onwards you have some examples on how to use it in command line. Are you checking those?
