Dear all,
I've eavesdropped on this fine forum for quite some time now and learned massive amounts. For that: hats off to you all!
Recently, i came across a tut from eyedesign, where he creates a melting paint effect on text (https://vimeo.com/140048336) using x particles. I really would like to achieve the same with RF - but I can't find any tuts on this particular topic.
Does anyone here have any tips where I can find an in depth tut or maybe explain how I can acchieve this effect?
Many thanks from Austria,
Kind regards,
Geri

Re: Create melting paint effect on text
Hi Geri,
welcome!
I don't know if you had any progress on your own with this task, but you could have a look at this tutorial:
https://vimeo.com/130636904
It uses the Filter daemon, which is a very simple way of starting to experiment with melt effects.

Re: Create melting paint effect on text
Hi Alex,
Thanks for replying! I was aware of that tut, which is a great one, but not really suitable for the exact effect I'm trying to achieve.
I'm now building it with use of a filter daemon that's triggered on vorticity (and then animating the filter). It works, but I'm finetuning it, because still not satisfied with the result
Any way, thanks again!
Kind regards,
Geri
