Hello...
when I import an SD file to Maya, I can't get any motion blur with Maxwell..
Is it a known limitation..?
Is there a way to "bake" the SD file in Maya...?

Hi,
If you have a simulation with softbodies you'll need to do the bake from Edit>Keys>Bake checking the Control Points checkbox. Once you have done the Bake, select the camera and in the Maxwell Render tab choose Shutter Priority and put the Shutter Speed to 10, for example. Go to any frame where your objects are moving and render. Maxwell should show the motion blur now.
If it doesn't work yet, change the Maxwell scene scale from the render settings to 100 and verify if you have the Motion Blur deformer + Deformation.

Hello Miguel..
ok, I tried, but no idea if I do something wrong, but the maya scene becomes huge (from 20mb to 280mb) with just one object baked.. and I have 5 to bake..
I mean just to then select the baked object takes 3 min. for Maya... gulp.. am I doing something wrong..?
Thank you..

Hi Herve,
yes, you have right. It is not wrong. It is a Maya issue because you are adding information for all vertex where you had a simple information for the object transformation.
