RealFlow crashes while simulating when Foam-emitter is added

I currently have a scene simulating in high resolution ( low res preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K89tvblROKE )

I would love to add Foam to this one, but when I do, RealFlow crashes at frame 3-4 and will not go any further. I use the sheeter deamon for the splashes and it is excluded from global links. Splash particles are liquid and Foam would be Dumb. However, I also tried with foam sat to liquid...no changes.

Splash-emitter:

Resolution is 20 (because of sheeter deamon, without sheeter I used 200)

Foam strengh is sat to 1 or 2 (I want 2, but both crash)

Some issues have been fixed related to the foam but to be sure the problem you are experiencing has gone it would be great if you could send us the scene.

Also, the final Test Render of the high-Res sequence is online now with a splash resolution of 40, I only rendered the splash because the grid simulation was too low resolution. A big hole appeared in it when the water fell down and flows to the sides, so I would have had a hole in the mesh. Also, it was impossible for me to make the mesh perfectly blend with the splash particles (as I did not want to put both grid and SPH in one mesh).

Thank you for the scene, I will let you know if the problem has gone. Regarding the rendering of the grid mesh and splash particles together, one way (probably you already know) to make them match is to play with the "Detail Threshold" parameter in the Spash emitter and in the grid mesh.

In that scene when you insert the foam emitter it is automatically linked to the splash emitter, and the splash emitter is affected by a Sheeter daemon. This was the cause of the crash. The problem is fixed now but thank you very much for reporting this scene. The patch with this fix and many others is going to be released next week, in the meantime as a workaround for this scene is enough to not create a link between the foam and the splash, actually it is highly recommended to not make them interact.
