Realflow slows down / uses 10% of cpu

Just bought a license for a week (great feature btw!) as I need RF for a short project.
I've worked with it many times in the past (previous company) and am surprised by how slow it seems now..

Somehome in a scene with 5k particles it too me 54 minutes to simulate 36 frames
The only thing that happened is an object (cylinder-like) pushing a object filled particles (txt - no colission) upwards.

With this I also notice it's using less then 10% of the cpu. Everytime I restart RF and reload the scene the first few frames go quick and then it slows down dramatically.


Is this normal?



Scene info:
(RF 2012 6.0.2.0085) SD file is ~8mb, 4 objects, 3 object inactive/hidden + k_Volume & Gravity

PC info:
Win 7 64 pro - I7 3930 (hexacore) 3.2Ghz - 16GB RAM - 4x SSD (2X raid 0 > OS & Projects Disk)

Hi there,

Definitely something wrong must be going on.
Could you send us the scene over so we can debug it? The xml version should be enough, with whichever geometry you might be using also.

Performance is most of the times tied to scene setup and workload, so 5k particles won´t probably show much on the processors, but there might be other things affecting that in your scene.

mmh I only just noticed that you guys only work till 15.00 on a fridays.
I've send the files on hour later.. i'll have to be done by monday.. so i guess i'll just be slow then :)
