Hi
Its possible to link an RF emitter to an animated object, so that the emitter follows the animated path of the object ?
Background: I set up the animation in C4D , exported the animation via SD file. I tried to link the RF emitter and the animated object via exclusive links, but it does´t work.
Short advice would be fine.
Best,
Tom
Link an emitter to an animated object ?
Re: Link an emitter to an animated object ?
Hi Tom,
Just checked the "Parent to" function, but I didn't see any problems here on my side. The emitter directly follows the animated objects. Could you please tell me a little more about how you exported the animated object? Did you performed a triangulation first? Did you use the emitter's "Parent to" option to link it to the animated object?
I used the latest versions of C4D, the plugins and RF2012. I also tried export with both "vertex" and "matrix" options and it worked.

Thank you Thomas. I will check it later, and come again, if necessary.

Re: Link an emitter to an animated object ?
I was not aware of the function "Parent to ...". Everthing works now, no problem , also with imported, animated scene files from C4D ( R13, latest Patch and actual RF Plugin. The only thing i observed that i´m forced to define a camera in C4D. If i don´t do that, even when i don´t need the camera in RF, the import to RF don´t work ( every time a error message: Missing one frame , in the console of RF). By defining a camera, everything is ok. I´m on Mac.tsn wrote:Hi Tom,

That's really strange. I'm on the Mac as well and have never seen this issue. Do you think it's possible to provide me a simple scene where this problem occurs? You can also send me a PM with your mail and then we can share test files if you want.Pinochio wrote: By defining a camera, everything is ok. I´m on Mac.
