Mac License Manager

Post by moritz.mark@yahoo.com » Thu Mar 07, 2013 5:13 am

Can someone please help walk me through how to set up the license manager on a Mac? I am pretty clueless when it comes to terminal. But I need to get my RFRK going and think the reason it isn't working is due to the license mgr

Whoohoo! Nevermind about the walk-through of how to get it going, I figured it all out. Got the mesh working now.

Still have the same question of will RF2013 support RMS 4.0?

Also, do I need a RFRK license for Mental Ray AND an additiional one for RMS? Or am I able to just use the license with both renderers. It's all on the same machine and I am the only user.

Hey,

you have right, there is a license for RMS and another one for Mental Ray

About this question "will RF2013 support RMS 4.0?" I'll ask to the plugin developer. I'll let you know.

Can I switch my license from the Mental Ray RFRK to the RMS one? Of course, this will only be if RMS 4.0 is supported. It has been out now since Sept 2012. Hopefully it may already be supported and I just don't know it. Can you please let me know? Thank you Luis

Actually, that got changed last year, so there is no more a license per renderer. You can use the license with any renderer Moritz.

Apologies for the confusion.

Cool. That's good news. Any word on the support for RMS 4 now and in 2013?
