Hello,
I'm trying to create a slow motion effect using the drag daemon. I've animated the drag strength from 0,2 to 20 in 10 frames and it's seam that some particles are not losing there forces and continue to rotate around another one. Someone know how I can stop them? I've tried Higher Substeps and fix Substeps, higher drag strength, but nothing succeed...

Simulation Settings;
- SubSteps: adaptive: min1 max222
- Fps: 12
- Geometry scale .5
I hope that someone have encountered the same problem and found a solution...
Thx

Re: High strength Drag Cause Rotation in some particles
Try setting your fps higher in the simulation settings. They are directly connected with the substeps simulation values.
The more frames per seconds, eg the slower your simulation happens, the lower you can set the min/max substeps.
As you actually simulate way faster with 12 fps, you got to set the substeps to even higher values than adaptive 333, maybe try using a higher fixed value, like 600. That might help.
Also be sure to check your pressure settings, maybe lower or raise them just a tiny bit, to see what effect they have.
Let us know, how you are coming along
