Evaporation

I am trying to achieve this effect using scripting and some filters:

I´ve founded some difficulties to get the particles at the outside border of the fluid.

Any ideas to get that particles?

Have you tried something with getNormal() and a dot product?

Usually, the normals of the particles at the side of the volume are pointing away from the core fluid. Hope it helps...
